The 1400 was the first big new Fiat project after the war. Innovative car, with unibody construction, “ponton” three-box body and also the Diesel engine, it was the step ahead toward the modern way of automotive manufacturing.
Along with the 1900 and the exclusive Cabriolet and Granluce versions, it was the high-end Fiat model during the 1950s.
